What would you do?

I was at the range with my vet buddy (his first time back shooting in a civvie capacity). His wife's uncle and his friend were there shooting with us. Really nice guys, enjoyed the whole day. BUT right before the uncle's friend was leaving he asked me to shoot a mag of wolf because his kid horribly jammed his bushmaster. I dont know how but there was a round in the chamber. Anyways, I LOVE my RRA even more than my USP and only try (tried :() to fire brass though it. I agreed because I didn't want to seems like a snob (I am) So I fired and tried to look like I was aiming. after words I wanted to apologize to my weapon but it's not alive so I it just got cleaned like crazy. What would you have done? Just curious

Probably the same, but without complaining. ;) :D

In all honesty, I'd be apprehensive. That ammo had already funked up another rifle quite similar to yours, and now you're going to be running it?

That said, even with Wolf's... loose tolernaces, I have still never had a problem running their ammo (specifically the steel-cased, as I've never even seen Wolf Gold for sale) through any of my guns, ever. Not in the reliability, accuracy, nor power departments.

I find it curious why people say 'Shoot commie ammo in commie guns'
So do you think your AR is THAT delicate?

Then why have it?

I say that you MIGHT wear out the extractor SLIGHTLY quicker... you save enough off of ONE case of Wolf to buy 6 extractors...

GUNS ARE TOOLS (Fun, nice, tools, some of which are collectable) but tools.

I'd of been shooting wolf, so as to be able to afford more training.

I've got over 1,000 rounds of Wolf through my RRA AR and never a problem.

I know I've ran 3,000 or so rounds out of 3 or 4 different AR's and never had one single issue with Wolf.

I would have said no.

I've never had a "shooting" issue with wolf. Reasonably accurate, fed and fired without any issues.

But the extra 30 minutes to clean and get the awful smell made me decide that it was not worth saving a couple of pennies. And yes it did smell awful...

I would say; "DPMS says shooting steel cased laquer coated ammunition will invalidate your warranty". I would then ask him if he wants to buy my rifle to check out his theroy.

But before I did that I would offer to check out his weapon and ensure that it was in top running order and there were no other issues and the ammo was at fault.

But in your case let me ask you this; if someone's car was running really rough and it was suspected that bad fuel was the problem would you offer to put some of the suspect fuel in your car to test the theory out? I am guessing you wouldn't.....
