They need smaller grips.:D

So here is the conondrum. I have a Smith N frame PC627 that is a really cool gun. I also have the afore mentioned small hands. You in the back keep the jokes to a minimum I hear you.

So I have a big gun and small hands. I don't care for the feel of the stock grips on my PC627 and would like something a little smaller and or a bit more rounded. Maybe something like the LadySmith J and K frame grips.

I don't care if they are Smith grips, Hogue, Ajax or whatever. I just want them to look good, feel better and be made out of wood. Rubber grips need not apply as I am a revolvers should be all steel and wood kind of guy. I'm not completely over the plastic sight thing but I digress.

So let's put some of that world wide web renowned knowledge put to work. What are your suggestions. If possible give me an idea on price and where to find them also and while your added feel free to make a donation to my grip fund at www.leachingforfirearms.com.:D

Thanks in advance for the help.

Chris

Try Ahrend's.

I have a set on my 3" 624; I just compared them to the stocks on the PC627 and, while they're similar in size fore-and-aft, they are markedly smaller in width. Plus they're prettier than the rather drab hunk of wood that S&W for some reason stuck on their megadollar wonder-wheelie. :scrutiny:

I second the recommendation of Ahrends. Thin, but extremely well made and very nice wood. I have them on three PC guns.

I would try Pachmayr. I have large hands and can't stand them because they are so small in my hand. They are very nice grips though, and I know a lot of people that swear by them.

Badger stocks work well for me. They're plywood, not real wood, but well made.

If you really want stocks to fit, talk to the good folks at http://www.herrettstocks.com and have them made a set to fit your hand. Expensive? Yes. Slow? Yes. Worth it? Definitely!

I put a pair of Eagle Secret Service grips (checkered) on my PC627. I too have small hands and found the Hogue wood grips too big. Eagle grips fit me fine. They look similar to the ones they put on the PC625.
