Crossbow Advice Welcomed

Recently, I decided to purchase a target crossbow after some years of absence from archery. But the world of crossbows has changed much during my absence. Therefore, I would like some advice on a good target crossbow for recreational shooting. An archery dealer in my area recommended an Excaliber Vixen, but I would welcome some other opinions. Thanks in advance for your help.

Doesn't get much better than Excalibur and the Vixen is perfect for target shooting.

Since beginning this thread, I have been informed that a TenPoint Slider may meet my target shooting needs both now and into the future. The Slider, as its name implies, allows the bow to "slide" into one of three set positions on the stock, thereby enabling the archer to vary the draw weight desired. Presumably, a lighter draw weight could be used for target practice and the heavier positions for hunting. In theory, this seems wonderful, but I wonder how practical it is. Any constructive comments are appreciated.
