Places to shoot in Albuquerque, NM

This question is for anyone living in or around the Albuquerque, NM area.

Other than Shooting Range State Park and Calibers, does anyone know where I can go to shoot legally? My only days off from work are the same days that Shooting Range State Park is closed, and Calibers isn't really good for long guns because they won't allow anything bigger than a .223.

I am only looking for legal places to shoot.

There are also a few places out in the boonies where you can go shooting. I often go over into the Rio Puerco Valley West of town.

I've actually shot out near the Rio Puerco on a number of occasions. If I'm thinking of the right place it is out off of I-40 down the frontage road past the turn off for Shooting Range park. I haven't been out there recently because a few of my co-workers are convinced that it is illegal to discharge a firearm anywhere in Bernalillo and Sandoval County outside of a designated gun range. If you have information to the contrary that would be great.
