Anyone have a source for inexpensive reliable PTR91 mags less than $5 each.

Thanks,

Unless I am mistaken PTR-91's will accept standard G3 mags. Best Price I have seen is from Tapco. The are running used good condition alloy mags on special 50 for $70.

Should be a bunch. I think G3 magazines come in cereal boxes now.

Bought a bunch from these guys: http://www.mainemilitary.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=&idproduct=570

Sabre Defence had a bunch of brand new ones cheap. Try the gun shows. Last show in Indianapolis I saw a bunch for sale.

these guys used to have them as low as $1.20. http://copesdist.com/ not listed on their web page anymore but you might give the guy a call.

I bought the Tapco special several months back and was very pleased. The price is starting to take off a bit so I would stock up now. G3 mags are fine in your PTR BTW.

Good Luck,
Mike

Not the best price on mags, but the carry case is pretty cool.

One other question, how many G3 mags is too many? I must be upwards of 30 or 40 and it sounds like I am on the low side compared to many. They are so cheap I'll probably buy more anyway. One day the surplus will run out.

I guess I should go to that gun show table in Houston and by them for $20 each. :D I don't know what makes those mags so special.

I have 10 20 round alloy G3 magazines, 10 20 round G3 steel magazines, and 2 steel 5 shot H&K hunting magazines for my PTR-91.
I think this is plenty enough.

I bought mine from CDNN but that was about four years ago and I know they have been offered fro less since then.

El T turned me on to Maine Military, and I have bought a metric buttload of mags from them in the last year or so. Good folk, good mags.
