Anywhere to find commercial 7.7 Jap ammo for my new Arisaka?
I've only been able to find dubious reloads on cut-down 30-06 or Norma for $$$$.
Thanks.

Norma's the only maker I know of. What you need is a reloading press. :)

Old Western Scrounger?
Them's not cheap.
Unless you can find Norma ammo at a gun show, be prepared to pay anywhere from $1.75 to $3 a ROUND for loaded ammo.

Graf & sons has new batches of 7.7 brass, along with a bunch of other odd-ball brass. The price is very nice. I've had good results with their 7.65 Argentine brass at about 1/20th the price of Norma brass. Some of it is on backorder, but they ARE going to get more supplies in. Demand has been higher than expected, according to the person I talked with over there.
They are ALSO producing a line of loaded ammo at $20 for twenty. It's apparently made by Hornady.

If anybody would know of any source for reasonably priced 7.7 ammo it would be the guys in the Japanese service rifle forum over at www.milsurpshooter.net
