(now called the National Guard) and collective guns to defend the state....just as the second amendment allows.

The National Guard is a good thing, but it's not the militia, and anyway, the Second Amendment prohibits the federal government from infringing the right of the people to keep and bear arms.

If not for lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, and fraudulent exercises in illogic, leftist extremists would have nothing to say.
