Midway/Savage Caliber swapping

I heard that Midway has come out with a package that enables the owner of their 10 series of rifles to swap out barrels to give the owner a chance to own a savage in a non factory chambering. Has anybody done this? Anybody intrigued by the possibilities? What kind of skills would it take?
Thanks

From what I've heard and read, it isn't too difficult if staying within a single cartridge class (go from 30-06 to 35Whelen or 25-06, etc). You have to know how to use chamber gauges and you have to have a tool for the locking nut. All in all, it looks pretty simple and doable in an afternoon.
