Wow. In case you wanted a gun that you'd never actually shoot. Or something.

The rubies are unevenly spaced. On something that expensive you would think the maker would take more care.

I always new 1911's were overpriced
(before you 1911 fanatics break out the flamethrowers that was a joke :))

So that's what 'diamond checkering' is.

All jokes aside, that has to be the absolute ugliest 1911 I have ever seen.

June 23, 2007, 03:36 PM
Is it a shooter? :what:
Believe me, if I spent $44000 on gold and diamonds and rubys, it damn sure wouldn't be on no gun!!!!:barf:

Can I get grips with flashing neon lights?

How about a disco ball hanging from a chain off to the side of the magwell? :)

Its tactibling, for the blinged out mall ninja.
rantingredneck
June 23, 2007, 03:55 PM
In that case you better have 88,000 on hand because they work better in pairs. :)

Of course the advantage here is that you don't actually need to shoot a bad guy. Instead you can just blind him by pulling this thing out.

June 23, 2007, 04:05 PM
Who would buy that?
These are indeed the preffered grips of gang members:D
seriously though, how embarassed would you be if you had to go to court and explain lawful self defense (sad that court and legal self defense are in the same sentence, but thats a topic for another thread) and the DA whips this little gem:D out.
probably came from from the recent estate sale of Rick James

Its tactibling, for the blinged out mall ninja.
In my experience, mall ninjas prefer a camo pattern made with emeralds and sapphires.

I would love to put those on a RIA:)

I would hope that $44K in gems would net me some special attention from the opposite sex. Were I to waste that money thusly I do not think that this setting would be her preference.

Forget Elvis; he liked revolvers, didn't he?

What really pains me is the idiot that refinished the
m1911A1.
I believe Elvis was a Colt man and I understand there is a Series 70 Gold Cup National Match on display at Graceland.

So strange, I kid you not, out of 150 artists on my playlist, guess who comes on when I start reading this thread? You guessed it. Elvis. Return to Sender :p
Geronimo45

Elvis liked revolvers and autos:

Somewhere, there's a picture of him with an MP-40-ish gun.

Can I get grips with flashing neon lights?
I will build you a set for for the low low low cost of $75,000.00 Geronimo45.....fully programmable!
What colors do you want????
Geronimo45
June 25, 2007, 11:46 PM
Orange, green, and black - could you make 'em to fit my Glock 7?

June 25, 2007, 11:55 PM
Now you guys are actually making me consider making some multicolored light up 1911 grips.. It would be a funny project I think. I know exactly how I'd do it too. Somebody .. please talk me out of it.. hehe
Can't see how I'd do them to a glock though Geronimo..
EDIT: Actually looking again they might have to be too thin to fit an led setup and some watch batteries in some plexiglass grips. Revolver grips on the other hand.. that might be do-able.

Can't see how I'd do them to a glock though Geronimo..
Crimson Trace manages it somehow or other. Besides - flashing lights would be a tactical advantage... that way you get light without pointing the muzzle at that which you'd rather not blow away.

This getting way off topic I know, but I have actually considered trying to make mostly clear 1911 grips. They wouldn't be pretty, but it would sure be different, and it might be sort of interesting to look at. I wouldn't want them , but I bet somebody would.

I wouldn't want them , but I bet somebody would.
The ASP had lexan (clear) grips... I think it'd be nice... especially on a Makarov. That cut-open magazine would let you see in a second if your gun was loaded or not.

June 26, 2007, 12:32 AM
The ASP was cool and a bad!@* little 9mm to boot....lear grips open mag....round count at a glance!

Dosent Paris Hilton have that gun in her pocket book beside the dog?

June 26, 2007, 11:34 AM
A few thoughts come to mind:
1) The 1911 is nicely finished, highly polished nickle is not my cup of tea,
but the grips are UGLEEEEE
2) Concur on the ASP. One all-business piece of hardware.
3) Do not concur on Ms Hilton. Not bright enough to figure out which end
the magazine would go in, would likely trade the pistol in when it was
empty (not going to go there, I won't, I won't), most likely would think
'That's HOT'.
4) No need to shoot, just blind 'em with the glare.

WRT clear 1911 grips, I've been working on a pair for a long time. I'm using lexan as the base material. I had originally planned to put a photo of Betty Grable behind them when mounted on the gun, but now I am leaning towards flashing LED's.

You would think for however much was paid for the appraisal, the guy could get the weapon's name right.

It looks like those set gems would tear away your palm and inner thumb skin if you fired that abomination.
And I thought that the stock CZ75B cheese grater grips were bad.

:what: Those are some family jewels! :D I wonder what would happen to them if you pulled the trigger? I have also seen a $100,000 NAA miniature 22 that has diamond studded grips. Paris Hilton gets my vote for this one! Pooooor thing!
