Are they the same company? Is Sigarms just the USA branch (like CZ-USA or Taurus-USA)?

I didn't take time to figure out how to condense this article, so here's a link to it.

Off the top of my head--

Sig Sauer is the manufacturer. Sigarms is the importing/marketing entity in the USA. So, Sigarms is where dealers get their Sig Saur firearms to sell.

Something like that.

So Sigarms guns are the same as Sig Sauers?

SIG-Sauer is essentially a brand name. SIG Arms is the U.S. importer and sometimes manufacturer of SIG-Sauer pistols.

For what its worth, SIG no longer manufactures firearms. SIG wanted to concentrate its operations on its core competency, which happens to be food and beverage container manufacturing, so they spun off their other divisions. Their arms-making division was bought by a consortium of investors and renamed Swiss Arms.
