I bought a Ruger Red Label 20ga with 28" barrels this afternoon for $1300. How'd I do?

I actually came upon the gun after fondeling a beretta at Dick's only to be turned off by some blemishes on the stock. I then handled a Citori 525 field at Gander Mountain. It also had some blemishes and the manager only offered my $10 off for it - I tried not to snicker. So anyway I moved on to Pekin Gun and handled a Red Label. It felt good and it actually looked like a new gun should! It is not as pretty as the Beretta or the Browning, but for $600 less (at least), I think I'll survive.

Now what opinions of Red Label shotguns does everyone have?

Unfortunatly, I will not be able to try the shotgun out for a couple of weeks :(

The RLs are well designed, well made, and you got a decent price, IMO.

When opening, they feel loose, but that's not important. They lock up like bank vaults.

Enjoy....
