How long to keep and FFL copy?

How long does a non-FFL holder have to keep copies of an FFL from another state that he shipped a long arm to that was for another person? Can he dispose of them after so much time, or must they be kept forever?

As a non-FFL is not required to have a copy of a dealer's license in order to ship him a firearm (rifle or pistol) in the first place, there is no need or requirement to keep a copy for any length of time.
