Is that a gun in your Speedo or are you just glad to see me?

There was a guy on another forum who actually carried a NAA revolver in his trunks when he went swimming. Does anyone else carry a CCW when swimming?

You mean at the beach right?
I never get time to go swimming anymore, but if I did I would carry a stainless steel or fiberglass/plastic knife and maybe a Kel-Tec P3AT.
If was going to be away from home for a long time, probably my 870 Marine Magnum in the truck and a glock 26 on my person.

I can not float without effort. More steel will be like swimming with my SCUBA weight belt on!
When I dive, I have a SS knife strapped on to my leg. This is for emergencies like getting tangled in line and needing to cut myself free. It has a squared tip, a cutting edge, a steel end to bang on my tank for signaling and a serrated edge.

Once while diving in Hawaii I swam with a knife.
I did know this jerk who surfed with one and would cut the surfboard leash of those who cut him off. One day after cutting someone's leash the guy who had to swim to shore to get his board back waited for the jerk and beat him up. The crowd on the beach was happy and the jerk was never seen again.
BTW- after paddeling in your arms are so tired it's hard to swing a good punch. The guy who was waiting was rested and clobbered him.

Doesn't chlorine in swimming pools do some pretty nasty stuff to most finishes (including nickel, I think)? If you do carry, I reckon it'd have to be something small... and in a plastic bag. And a quick-draw would be pretty darn hard.

There was a very spirited thread a while back about what caliber gun you should go swimming with in case a shark attacked!

Oh, didn't think about underwater critters. In that case, here's a great pick.

Full auto harpoon-ish gun. That weird HK underwater pistol? Got nothing on the APS.

From your friendly local ex-Spetz man. :p
Or, if Sarah Brady and co. are right, any local gun show.

I swim in my own pool in my own backyard, so my carry piece sits on the deck under my towel.
I don't do sand.

If i needed ccw while swimming it would be Glock 17.
However it prolly wouldnt be concealed,
It would be straped to my thigh, without a baggy!
