Hello,
I just came into possession of a Springfield Model 86C. I have not been able to find any literary material related to this rifle. I don't know how to completely strip it and don't have anyone to refer to. The previous owner is dead. Any information you would be able to furnish would be very appreciated. Thanks.

It's one of those inexpensive 1940's vintage .22's that aren't worth a lot of money, so there's nothing on-line about them. However, it'll be very similar to any Stevens or Savage bolt action .22.
"...not been able to find any..." The guy who does the research at oldguns.net can't find any info either, so it's not just you.
This guy says he has parts.

Gunparts has some too.
The posting below about the 84C- will help you too.
