Folks run hot or cold on the Millennium. I have a pair of PT111's. No problems of any kind to report with either. One has about 1300 rounds through it, the other has maybe 200 (wife's pistol). I don't carry mine often as a CCW piece, bit it IS handy and it goes bang every time for me. No, it's not a target pistol, but I can make nice groups within 10 yards easily enough that I'm confident in it. Some folks have had problems with frame cracks on the earlier production runs of the design. Mine has no cracks- I look before, during, and after each range session. It's a pistol that should be carried lots and shot modestly, not a little. Don't think that you can improve it by running +P stuff through it, either. That's inviting trouble. It does just fine with standard loads.

I've seen the Mil.Pro's but not fired them. Looks to me like they took the best of the PT145 and trickled it down with refinements.

To me, it was money well spent. Others disagree. Such is life.
You asked.

I am trading mine immediately. The gun is nice, don't get me wrong, but there are some things to consider. The biggest thing is that if you have large hands, you will very likely release the magazine while firing. I wish I could keep this piece because I really enjoy shooting it, but between the mag release, the rattling magazines and the DAO pull I just need to chalk this one up as a bad experience. BTW I own the PT111.

Had one for about a year and a half now. Reliable, fair accuaracy, probably me and not the gun. love the size very concealable and 10 rounds of 45. The drawback is the trigger you have to pull it a country mile to fire it. It is hard not to over anticipate. I am probablu going to sell the gun for that reason. i guess the trigger would be ok if that is all you ever knew.

From threads here, they appear to have inconsistent quality control.

yeah, the trigger pull is awful, but then again, it's not nearly as bad as the DA pull on say, a Mauser HsC (which I also own a copy of). I did smooth the pull up considerably by polishing the inside of the raceway that the firing pin travels through and smoothing up the rough spots along the barrel of the firing pin assembly. Yes, it's a striker-fired system which does not lend itself to smoothness or speed of operation, but hey, it sure did make it better...and sometimes what you need is a deliberate pull on the trigger and not a super-slick hair trigger on a defensive tool.

It may be a sow's ear, but it works. Tools that work are good.

I recently bought a stainless PT-145 Millennium Pro. Have only put about 60 rds through it.

It is MUCH different than the Millennium model -- much solider feel, and the trigger pull is much shorter and lighter. About 4 pounds in mine, I would judge. It's very similar in travel to a Glock.

It's not difficult to shoot accurately, but will never be mistaken for a target gun.
