I have a few pictures of a gun from a TV show, I have never seen anything exactly like it before and was wondering if it was real or just a prop.

The part that catches my eye is the chamber, it looks like there is a round in there but the slide is forward. Is it just a brass colored chamber? This also leads me down the road that it might just be a movie gun and does not exist in real life.

Thanks in advance!

The pics are small and blurry (and yes, I do have my glasses on ;))

It definitely has a Bo-Mar style adjustable rear sight, as well as a compensator. The shape of the slide serrations, hammer, ejection port, grip and extended magazine floorplate suggest a "Sport" version of a SIG P220 or P226 all-stainless model.

Slightly better front picture, hard to get it in a non-blurry capture, they dont focus on it.

Some form of ported, competition-model 1911 with a huge friggen grip, would be my guess.

Ugly is what it is. Seems to be a cross between a USP lower and some sort of bastardized 1911 slide.

Compensated 1911, likely with a Plastic pistol grip like this one:

With a flared mag weld like this:

If I am not mistaken that is the gun from the TV show "Heroes", if it is, it is a highly customized strayer voight infinity.

...and the reason the barrel hood is gold colored is that the barrel has been finished in Titanium Nitride (TiN).

Yep, it's a double-stack 1911 with a barrel extension/compensator.

Hey I think I know that gun! Was it in that show "Heroes" on NBC awhile ago. If so then it's definitely a double stack STI or whatever comp. 1911. I had my eye on those guns for weeks trying to figure out which manufacturer they used.

Vastly OT, but Wiki is gnarly. You wouldn't think it, but the Wiki format is starting to be used in some extremely creative ways, particularly in education. If Wiki can gain some ground on the credibility front, I really believe that it will basically become the single most used source of knowledge on the net or otherwise.
