Well I put my first .270 loads downrange this evening.I found out what the rifle likes know I just got to tweek it. Of the loads I tested The browning liked 100gr hornady spire point pushed by 51gr of imr 4064 and a winchester large rifle primer it printed just over an inch at 100yds for a three shot group. Know I am going to work up 3 more loads increasing the charge by 2 tenths of a grain to try and find the sweet spot. I already started low and worked up to the 51gr load and the groups got tighter as the charge increased. I would prefere a heavier bullet but I am working loads for a friend and he is set on a 100gr bullet.

Just curious...what does your friend intend to do with the rifle once he has settled on a load. Sounds like application would be limited to varmint hunting. Lots of great info on improved accuracy with 130 gr. bullets so keep working on him.
