Hello all, I am looking for the old plastic poly patches ( sabots for round balls) you use to be able to get. Does anyone have any idea were you can still get those?

Those havn't been made in many years! There was a problem with the ball seperating from the poly patch and causing KaBooms!

There was just a short thread about them on the muzzleloadingforum.com where someone mentioned having some in .45 & .58 maybe.
I think that I have some in .36 cal. made by Butler Creek IIRC.
What caliber are you looking for?
Hornady has some newer round ball sabots called "hardballs", but they may just be sold in a combo. with a ball.
Anyway, here's the MLF thread, and if you want to register for that forum, they have "wanted classifieds" where you can ask if anyone has some to sell in your caliber.
