Just took delivery today of my CZ 82 that I ordered from AIM. I'm really struck by the condition of the gun. It appears unfired. The finish appears 98-100%, with just the slightest extra coat of oil on it. Nicely packaged with the accessories (which also appear to be unused). Only took a few minutes to clean her up.
I do have to admit to have been a little surprised (even though I was already aware of it) when I checked inside the barrel for condition, Mirror finish, minus the grooves. All and all , I'm extremely happy with the newest addition to the family. :D

offthepaper, would I be right in assuming you have a C&R License and that you used it to buy the CZ 82? I've applied for C&R. If so, any words of brilliance to pass along?

Yes, I do have a C&R.

Advice: Buy the biggest safe you can get. :D

I too have a C&R and am awaiting the arrival of 2 CZ-82's.

He's right, the best advice for a new C&R holder: Get a big safe.

Enjoy!

When you receive your license, make several photocopies, sign them in red or blue ink. (do not sign your original, sign each copy) and send one to everyone you anticipate doing business with. That way when you order something you can just call it in. The distributer will maintain your license on file.

Don't forget to send one to Brownell's and Midway. They will consider you a dealer and offer a discount. This alone makes the license worthwhile, the firearms are just a bonus.

Don't forget to bring one with you to gun shows.

CZguy, I've never thought of taking my C&R to a gunshow. What do you use it for there?

You just never know when you might find a C & R eligible gun that you just have to buy.

The only downside to a C&R license, is that they ought to come with a really big gun safe. :D

C&R is the way to go if one is into avoiding FFL fees on C&R eligible guns and doesn't mind receiving them at home. This is one of the best deals going and what makes it better is most dealers love to take them at gunshows. It saves them paperwork.
