So I took the trusty Walker to the range last weekend and here are the results:

My question is, how do I lower the POI of the lube pill? :neener:

My question is, how do I lower the POI of the lube pill?

Not that you're serious or anything, but the answer is to step back just a couple more steps.
The lube pill is lighter than the lead, so it's gonna lose steam a whole lot faster and drop quicker. ( It's actually it's shape that kicked it high, what with it flip-flopping and all. )

Nice pic, by the way. What was the distance you were shooting at?

That was at 25 yards, two-handed. The gun is more accurate than I am.

He-he.
I recall a number of years ago, shooting a blackpowder revolver at a range, when I went to check the target, a "wonder-wad" was perfectly placed stuck in the hole in the target the bullet it had backed had opened up!
It was the only time I ever found a wonder wad I'd used.

Come on Tallship ... it maybe 25 yards but I bet the target is 10 feet tall by 5 feet wide! ... just joking!:)

Great shooting ... really nice grouping - what is the POA on your Walker? My Navy .36 is about 5 o'clock 5 inches below the centre at 20 yards. Not that that matters as my target always looks like the top of a pepper pot after I've finished with it!:o

This was my "un-blued" Walker which shoots fairly straight but about six inches high. The other Walker shoots about nine inches high and nine inches to the left, so I aim at the bottom of the circle with the first one and off the lower right corner of the circle with the second one. BTW the diameter of the circle is 10 inches.

To lower your POI, either get more height on your front sight or lower your rear sight. On a Walker, the front sight will probably prove the easiest.

To get point of aim and point of impact the same I think it's best to lower the rear and raise the front so neither has to be too pronounced. I like to knock out the blade front sight and weld over the slot, reface it and then dovetail a front sight there. That way the dovetail sight can be drifted to get the windage dead on. By the way.....it's a wise man that uses the "lube pills".
