Midway is advertising Magnatech pistol ammo. Has anyone used it or know anything about it?

I think that's MagTech. It's made by CBC in Brazil. My indoor range/gun shop buys it by the bushel as their range ammo. I've used quite a bit and never had any problems with it, including some fired full-auto.

Your right, it's Magtech.

Just ran 50 rounds through my Kimber Custom II this evening with out missing a beat. While not fancy stuff it goes bang every time I pull the trigger on a round of it and it punches holes in the target pretty much right where I'm pointing the business end of the pistol. What more can you ask for?

Used it in 9mm, .40S&W and .45 acp and never had a problem with it.

Sole naysayer. I had 4 bad loads out of one box of 357 mag. One complete dud, re-fired 3 times had a good dimple in the primer. Other 3 were semi-squib loads. No big BANG, the bullet left the barrel, but didn't get as far as the target (hard to miss 357's hitting the paper at short range!)
First and last box I ever bought.

Shot a ton in 45colt. No problems and the brass has been great for reloading.

Magtech good stuff, especially on sale. I've used quite a bit of it, like it.

I've put several hundred rounds of their .44 Magnum semi-jacketed soft-point (type 44A) ammunition through my 629. No problems, nice and mild, and very inexpensive. Cheaper than plain old lead stuff from other manufacturers.

I've used the .44mag and .45ACP. Never had a problem.
I used to be able to buy it cheap, not so much anymore.

I had a squib in .45ACP with Magtech.
I've also had a bad box of .44Mag PMC (extraction issues) and nasty 1/2 case of S&B 7.62 X 25 (primers loose).
Given the number of THR members that report having fired a metric pantload of every caliber of every brand with nary a hiccup, maybe it's time I bought a lotto ticket.

Apx 400-600 rd in .380 and .45 ACP. No problems.
Bear in mind that some reports of newly-manufactured bad ammo are due to goop in firing pin channel, etc.
Goop is a technical term related to firearms. It consists of powder residue, sand, grit, lint, grease, and assorted crap.
Assorted crap is another technical term.

I got some from Gander in 38 special. Did fine with it. Not always the cheapest brand, but seems like good stuff.

OK.
The 44 mags 240 gn JHPs were not hot enough to cycle in my Ruger carbine but they are accurate and no FTF in my Blackhawk.
Also the 44 sp. cowboy loads are simply pleasant to shoot from my BH and accurate enough.
Going to Gander today and will check out the Magtechs in 38.

I have found that the overall quality is on par with Win white box, but the crimp on the bullet is exceptionally smooth, most finicky guns like Magtech for this reason.

I think it is excellent stuff. I've found it to be consistent and accurate. Nice packaging too. My only criticism is that it's a little dirtier than my other two favorites, PMC and American Eagle.

I have used lots of it in cowboy ammo, dirty, but excellent (they burn coal in them I think :D ). The only malfunction I have ever seen was with a guy a couple of weeks ago, 357 wouldn't fire, tried a couple times, swapped it to another 357 and it went off straight away. Probably had the trigger too light.

I've used lots of the 9mm. It has worked fine in everything other than my CZs.
