Every time I get into an argument about legalizing drugs, people give me the same arguements.

"Weed was legalized in holland(or some other country) and it was so bad they had to ban it again."

"If weed is legalized, people will think it is ok to do. Since it is banned, it is known to be bad to do."

"Addicts will be walking around the streets and in restaraunts, causing problems."

And that's just the start.

"Drugs are so much more dangerous than alcohol. You can get addicted so fast."

I have not checked the recent statistics but last time I checked severeal years ago the number of high school senoirs in the Netherlands that had tried "weed" was about 5% . In the US it is about 50%.

And not the have not banned it again, unless it was very recently.

However a nice question to ask those folks is if drugs or prostitiution ( also legal in the Netherlands ) cause violent crime how come the Netherlands violent crime rate is MUCH lower than the US ?

If they claim it is because of the guns how come Switzerlands violence rat is so low and they have a higher percentage of homes with guns thean the US ( and many of them are ther "evil" asault guns )

I was in Amsterdam last summer and I know 100% that they did NOT ban it again.
