Any good online threads or links that show how to field strip the 870? I juast want to know the steps on how to get the bolt out and back in. I also may take out the trigger assembly. I think that is part of the field strip process.

First get and use a manual.

Then when removing the bolt and slide arm assembly, remember if done wrong with the trigger group out you will have a shell stop moved out of postion or even falling out of the frame!

With proper instructions in hand the 870 is fairly simple to field strip. But please never try to go farther then the basic groups when taking one a part. Never force anything either, if it doesn't move with ease you are not doing something right.
