I regularly use a 1100 Classic Trap. I am thinking about buying a similar barrel for my field gun. My field gun is a 2001 model 1100 in 2 3/4" with only about 10 boxes of rounds through it. I would use it for a loaner should I invite another person or as a backup to my regular shotgun. Anyone else using this setup? Where did you order the barrel and/or specifically what did you look for?

Remington makes a Light Contour series for the 1100s. I've two here on 870 and they are target style but do a great job as field barrels.

A target barrel like the one you have on the Classic is another option.
