That's the 357 sig, right? I rented one along w/ a XD 357. Liked the XD just a tad more. But I'm not a big fan of sub compacts.

Great gun for concealed carry. I found it had a harsh recoil, like when your funny bone gets hit. Sorta shocking. But that probably has more to do with the 357SIG round being such a high pressure round. But then, the point of this gun is to pull it out of nowhere and hit the bad guy hard. That it does very well.

I have one. I also have the similar-size Glock 27 in .40 S&W. I find the G33 to be a little bit sharper in recoil and muzzle-flip than the G27, but not by very much - probably only 10% or so. There's a lot more muzzle-flash at night with the G33 (why am I not surprised? :D ).
Accuracy-wise, both are in the same ballpark. I personally like the fact that a .40 S&W round is somewhat larger in diameter, so that if the hollow-point is plugged with clothing or something else, you're still making a major-caliber hole: but the 357 SIG is moving so fast that it's unlikely that expansion will be a problem. I like them both as guns, and would feel comfortable betting my life on their performance.
As for ammunition, in the shorter (3½") barrel of the G33, I turn to Cor-Bon 115gr. JHP. Even out of a short barrel, this is approaching 1,400 fps - a real screamer!

I've owned two; fun little guns! They pack a pretty good wallop without having excessive recoil. They'll fling brass three lanes on an indoor range, though.

I own two of them. After the Glock 20, it's my favorite Glock, and also one of my favorite pistols. Reliable, accurate, lightweight, durable, and potent...

i've shot one plenty of times. i wouldn't shoot more than 2 mags out of it because of the snappy recoil, but it is an accurate pistol and it conceals well.

One of the best modifications to do on a Glock 33 is to replace its "trigger with trigger bar" assembly, which has a serrated trigger face, with one that has a smooth trigger face, which is standard on the full-size Glocks, such as the Glock 31. The Glock part number is (coincidentally) 357, and most places that sell factory Glock parts charge $14 or so. You can sort of see, in the photo below, that the trigger face is smooth:

Here is another view of my Glock 33:

I found that the serrated trigger face can make the trigger finger uncomfortable when firing extensively. I have shot several hundred rounds through my G33 in a single range session, without problems.
Another modification I did was to install a factory 3.5lb connector, which improved the trigger feel.
