What kind of accuracy are you getting with the Winchester 100 packs of 40S&W? The ones I bought were from Wal-mart and are 165 grain FMJ with a TC profile, but many retailers seem to be carrying them.

For me shooting a new Glock 22 I was WORKING to get sub 4" at 15 yards rested solidly, yeah you read that right it was dismal. My 45 went sub 1" easily as did my buddies 45 and his CZ-75 and both of our 22's were way inside of an inch. I was quite dissapointed, and had burned all the other ammo I had on hand before wondering why the groups were so loose enough to rest it and shoot some. 2nd time out for the gun and the first time it shot well left of POA, so no real info gained from that session.

Anyone have any comment on the ammo performance in their guns?

I had exactly the same trouble the last time ot with my 9mm USP and Win Bulk pack 9mm. In fact, it was so bad I stopped shooting it and had half a box or so left. I was intending to pull some bullets, weigh the charges and look for anything unusual. I got busy at work and forgot.
Could it be that our guns just didn't like this load, or maybe that this ammo doesn't like polygonal rifling? I understand that this ammo is fairly popular. I wonder if anyone else has had poor results.

I had the same problem with the 100pack of nines. I tried them in several guns ( from G19s & G17 to Walther P88) and had about four inch groups at 15 yards. Accuracy returned for a good price when I used CCI Blazers; they are under $5 a box of 50 at Natchez.

I never really shot my pistols for groups. I have shot a lot of 180 gr JHP Winchester White Box though, it goes to point of aim, at least for me, which isn't saying much since I can't shoot a pistol worth a damn, heh

There's a reason that the ammo is inexpensive. I use mine for drills where my natural grouping is more than the CEP of the ammo - IDPA/IPSC drills come to mind.

I hear you Al, but I found it to be so inaccurate as to be useless for shooting beyond 10 yards. Making the gun go bang does not constitue practice for me, I require sub 2" capability at 15 yards for me to get the feedback I need to further my skill.

I was just wondering if it was my new gun, or the ammo. The supplies I need to load my own 40 are currently in transit, my cost will be less than half of the white box crap but it is always nice to have a backup available.

Win 'white box' is not so inexpensive as to excuse 2nd rate performance. I use S&B and Blazer, and they both undercut 'white box' on price here, without any performance quirks.
