I bought a universal decapper yesterday and things were going pretty well until I encountered a berdan :( . So now I need a replacement pin--but which one? My choices are:
DECAP PIN .062 X .687, and
DECAP PIN .071 X .875
Which do I want? I'm doing both pistol and rifle.

"Mic" your broken pin and use that measurement as a basis for your replacement pin. If you do not have a micrometer buy one of each; they are relly cheap to replace.:banghead:

Call Hornady. I had the same dilemma as I have the "guaranteed for life" set and couldn't figure it out. They knew what I needed and sent it gratis. Actually it turns out to be an upgrade as I've had the dies for a few years.
