Just noticed a recent post of mine listing me as a Senior Member. Do I want to be a member of any board that would have me as a Senior Member?:D

I thought I was so gosh darn cool when I turned into a senior member. Then I realized that Skunk has an average of 18 posts a day.

Some people just age faster than others! It is not their fault. Why should it be highlighted?:neener:

Mike's just semi-retired and writes for a living. Skunk has no life :neener:

No, I work full-time for a living.
In fact, I'm working on a hot project right now.
Nice overtime. It's going to allow me to pay for my 28 gauge shotgun that I've been wanting.

MicroBalrog,
be advised that I'm stealing your signature line for use in future gun-control debates; it just frames the issue too darn clearly.

The place is addicting. When the TFL website shut down, I nearly panicked. Now I have more postings on THR in less time.

I'm glad to hear someone else say that, Brad!
I got on one morning at work, started reading all of these weepy messages and actually wondered if something had happened to Rich!
Then I found Rich's announcement, read it, and at the end of it I realized I was hyperventilating!

Amen Mike Irwin,
I loved the TFL. The THR seems to continue that tradition. I am a widower, joined TFL just before my wife passed, and have found this whole culture to be a life saver for me. The comraderie of not just this forum, but the whole club feel of shooting within the local ranges, dealers, and friends has been such a comfort for me.
Once I made a transgression on TFL, I think I used the F word during a posting about an Illinois liberal election result last November, and Rich and I emailed, and he gave me a second chance.
That is what I am talking about. All the great folks here, Oleg, Skunk, Art, Preacherman, the Runt, and Tamara, so many others, are like a sort of second family. They like to remain annonymous, but to us posters, and all the THR members, we are sort of a family.
I travel to Florida once or twice a year, from the droll prairie of Illinois, and I think it would really be cool to have dinner with the delightful THR Tennessee clan sometime when passing through.
It is nice to realize sometimes that I am not a lone wolf regarding these things. Thanks Mike.

Brad,
Thanks for posting that -- it's a very positive note on which to close the thread.
Forgive me, all. You knew it was coming. :D
