Worn Lee 4-hole turret "ratchet"

Where can I find a replacement Lee 4 hole turret 'ratchet' (the plastic piece that turns the turret on the ram downstroke that wears out too much).
MidwayUSA has the 3hole ratchets, they don't look the same. Not sure if they'll work.
Lee says they charge $4 shipping for this tiny piece of plastic that weighs less than a postage stamp! I won't get it from them just on principle.
Thanks!

Midway will be just as bad or worse on shipping. Buy a couple from Lee. Just grin and bear it. You know the old saying "don't cut off your nose to spite your face". My mom was full of old sayings like this.

in warranty or out, all i did was call customer service and explain that the ratchet "broke" and really nice lady sent me 6 of them for free... got them here in four days  all you have to do is call and ask, bro!

Not sure what is happening that it's wearing out on you, but I've had my press since Jan 06 and still on the first ratchet at about 8,000 rounds. Just be sure not to remove your turret with the ram at the bottom, raise it about an inch and then the turning of the turret (either way) will not bind the ratchet. In any case, I'm glad they took care of you.

And you haven't called yet??? Make sure you have it adjusted correctly. I do wear them out, but it takes a few years to do it. I've been using a three die Lee turret for 18 years and I've only replaced two...

here's the clincher fellas. I know it's $4 shipping because I called them.
a little background and the full transcript.
I got my lee pro auto disk powder measure a few weeks ago, no spring. Doh!
called lee. Very nice lady said "no prob, we'll send your Spring asap!"
two days later I got my shiny new frickin LEVER.
called the next monday. "got a lever, she said she was sending a spring! wasn't in the box when I got it."
"oh, I can see they're right next to each other on the sheet. just wrote down the wrong part #"
"great. What do I owe you?"
"it's still free, it was our mistake"
"sounds good! Also, I need to ask about getting some new 'ratchet's' for my turret press while I'm on the phone with you."
"well, it'll be $1.50 for 3 plus a $4 shipping charge."
"you're already sending me an envelope, could you just throw them in there? I'll pay the $1.50 for the 3, no problem!"
"sure."
"great, do you need my credit card?"
"no, you'll get an invoice for $5.50 in the envelope, just pay it then in case we don't send the right part."
"right, uh... not really what I meant"
"oh?"
"that's alright, just keep the ratchets and cancel my order. I only need the spring today!"
"no problem. one second."
"how much do I owe you now?'
"it's free. one spring"
It should be in my mail box when I get home tonight. If I get another darned lever I'm going to post them as a set on ebay.

That happened to me once also--what you do is tell the nice lady it makes no sense and she should talk to her boss, while you're on the line, and you will get the spring and the ratchet free, per warranty.
If that doesn't work, hang up and call back and ask for Pat or Dave, or John Lee, and tell them what happened. They will honor the warranty posthaste.
Occasionally the first line phone people get it wrong. Happens other places too.
Now the real problem needs to be solved--go here for the discussion of how not to "hose" that ratchet again.

Lee Classic Turret Press--Index ratchet gear, Turret Indexing and Proper turret alig
There seems to be real confusion about turret alignment and the role the square, nylon ratchet plays in rotation of the index rod on The Lee Classic Turret Press. An experienced reloading friend who has one of these presses, as I and many others do, put together a brief writeup to clear up why the ratchet is made of the material it is; what it does; how to align the turret, if necessary, and NOT strip the nylon ratchet; and how to replace it if needed. In normal use the ratchet should last for years but if abused through wrong attempts to correct turret misalignment it will be damaged.
Remember, the press also carries a two year warranty. If you should have trouble with a ratchet gear call Lee and ask for a couple of replacements under the warranty.
THIS APPLIES TO THE CLASSIC TURRET PRESS or older models of the 4-hole press also. It does NOT apply to a 3-hole turret press; they are adjusted in another manner.

good idea.
I'll wait until I get my darned spring that they shorted me, then I'll call them about the ratchet.
I've only got 150 LP primers left anyhow.

am disappointed in my in my turret and lee. I have a 4 hole and have made about 6000 rounds then on the down stroke it started to bind not want to turn. SO I called Lee and the nice lady said those are a buck a piece. I said my turret is only 5 months old I still have the receipt she quickly informed me that piece was not part of the warranty basically explaining that it is sort of like brakes and tires on cars they are moving parts and never warrantied. Luckily I was in a nice mood and said send me 10 of them and while your at it send 3 of the clamps as well which are 6 bucks a piece. 28 bucks and 3 days later I had everything in my hand and I am reloading again which was more important than the arguement I wanted to avoid. I know I have adjusted mine right because I have only had to adjust it once and as long as the rachet is tight everything is slick as grease. I did notice that on my rachet bar that the lines are sort of sharp and I believe that may be some of the problem. I still had my single stage RCBS chucker but I usually only use that for rifle or 460S&W ammo.

I really think it's a matter of who you get on the phone. As Benedict said, I would ask for Dave or Pat - I haven't heard of anyone they haven't taken care of.
