J frame stocks will not fit. You need specific Charter Arms stocks. Charter used to use the same grip frame on all their revolvers, but I'm not certain of the most recent incarnations.

picked up is older; no shroud on ejector. Has a small pin on bottom/back of grip frame; can S & W grips be "modified", so long as the screw hole is close? For $4.00 thru CDNN it's worth a try. If not, I'll probably have to take one of the wodden factory grips off & take it in to a shop & see what fits. A precision target firearm it's not, just a beater last ditch hide-out gun. Where I hide it is the fun part. Thanks much for the reply.

You can get Pac Compacs to fit. Try Midway.

All of the new grips on the Charter website will fit all the older models of charter arms. I also have a Gen1 Undercover. Wonderful Snubby.
