Does anyone know a good way to thread the barrel on a Ruger 22/45? I found this (http://cgi.ebay.com/RUGER-22-45-MK-II-22-Pistol-7-16-x-tpi-Threaded-Barrel_W0QQitemZ190130371709QQihZ009QQcategoryZ73945QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) on ebay, but don't reallt get how this is going to work. Am I better off getting a gunsmith to thread the barrel? If so, can anyone steer me towards one near Norfolk, VA?
If anyone has gone this route before, please help me out.
Thanks all,
Pat

For most suppressors for .22's, its a .5x28 thread pitch.
I am in the middle of the same type of "project", and here are your best two (or three) options... if you already have a 22/45:
Buy a tactical solutions replacement upper (very highly regarded)
If you already have a BULL barrel, then you can have it threaded, but be careful, it has to be done concentric to the bore or you risk a baffle strike in the suppressor. Send it to one of the recommended threaders.
If you have a tapered barrel, post a request on rimfire central, this BBS, or on www.silencertalk.com , to pick up one that those guys took off to put a tactical solutions one on. Those guys are awesome, and have TONS of info about suppressors!
Did I help at all?

Lord yeah, and I'm flattered that your first post was to help me out. Do you have a link to that Tac-Sol barrel? Having trouble finding it. Thanks!

Found the barrels you mentioned, it looks like threading is the cost-effective route. Thanks man!
