I was shooting my 10mm Witness today, happily blasting away with 175gr. Silvertips and 180gr. Corbons. :) Then while I was loading up a mag I felt it "fold" up in my hand under spring pressure. What the hell?! :scrutiny: Here the body of the mag is folded 45 degrees like a pocket knife. It soon became apparent that the post ban castrated mag`s construction was at fault. In order to keep us serfs from loading more than 10rds. the mag has dimples front and rear and it cut around the rest of the body (so you can`t drill the dimples out presumably). Well the rear dimple split and allowed the mag body to hinge on the front one under the pressure of the mag spring. I can weld it up better than new but I shouldn`t have to. If you`ve got any mags made like this you might wanna check em out REAL GOOD especially if it`s a carry gun. Marcus

Might be a good time to check EAA's customer service. But if you only have one mag I'm not sure you want to wait that long.

Sounds like something the anti gun powers that be would do to keep us sheeple ill-armed!!!

DON'T send the mag anywhere. Those are designed to break if the mag is tampered with.

Someone could easily decide that the reason it broke was because you were trying to illegally increase its capacity.

Yeah they`re designed to break alright! :cuss: I figured a new one could easily do the same thing so I fixed it myself. I welded it up better than new and although I had to grit my teeth I made sure to preserve the PC correct capacity limiting lumps :banghead: ,in fact if anything they`re a tiny bit bigger. They (like so many other PC things) are pointless anyway. If you wanted full capacity all you have to do is modify the soft plastic follower an itty bitty bit. No I didn`t do that either (this being a good law abiding citizen can be a real PITA!). But in any case it`s AOK now. I`m gonna keep a close eye on mags of that type from now on though. Marcus
