I have a Ruger KP97D .45 caliber pistol. Its the decocker model, in great shape. I have the original case and paperwork, 4 mags and a IWB holster for it. I found a pistol that I like a good bit more and was debating on taking my Ruger to the gun show tomorrow for sale. I looked around online but couldn't find anything. What do you all think I could get for it? Or if someone has the Blue Book of Guns and would let me know what it says I would be appreciative. :)

I bought a new close-out Ruger 97DC from CDNN in June 2006 for $279.

The Gun Trader's Guide (27th edition) says KP-97 Decockers go for:
NiB $407 / Ex $324 / Gd $206

Sorry if this info is too late for the GS :(

For one in very good and clean condition, Gander would offer about $185.

Thanks for all of the responses. I expected it it be a little more to be honest. Guess I will keep it, lol. Thanks again for all of the prompt replies.

I've owned a few more expensive 45 acp semi's, but I always come back to the Ruber P97. It has never given me a moment's trouble, not a single FTE or FTF. It has become the one that is loaded and ready for home defense. I think over time you'll be glad you didn't sell it, especially when you can't get very much for it anyway. Sometimes you really can get something worth more than you paid for it.

I bought my P97 NIB in 2004, while it was still in production. I paid about $435 OTD plus $55 for two extra mags(factory). The more I shoot it, the more I'm convinced, it's one of the best deals I'll ever get on a handgun. It just gets better every time I shoot it.

I think over time you'll be glad you didn't sell it,

I 100% agree!
