Durability of Krylon Fusion?

Specifically, for use on an AR and possibly a polymer-framed pistol.
I'm always iffy about painting anything not on canvas, and I'm wondering if this stuff will hold up to abuse seen in 3-gun-type conditions.
What experiences have y'all had?

When properly applied I've found the stuff to be EXTREMELY durable. The only kind of scratches that remove the "paint" are the kind that actually dig into the plastic substrate.

You want the surface to be completely clean and free of oil or grease before you paint. If you do that and apply it correctly, the stuff is really durable. I've used it in a couple projects with very good results.
