tyme June 29, 2003, 04:09 PM Well, you'd think it from reading the following news bit. This evil Mini-14 ".233" "machine gun" shot some woman in the leg! The BATF even had to be notified due to the "type of gun used."

AZRickD June 29, 2003, 04:20 PM I e-mailed the editor. One would think that a reporter from Montana would have a basic knowledge of firearms.

Fly Navy June 29, 2003, 04:22 PM There is a full auto Mini-14...the AC556 or something? Did the news/cop make a goof in naming or was it really just a Mini-14?
Hk Paul June 29, 2003, 04:26 PM I think it was a Mini-14. not the machine gun.
But then agian they went and said the father had a permit to own it.
Anyone know if you have to have a permit to have a rifle in MT?
I dont think you do but it could be like illinois.
