Can someone tell me how many maximum fps can be safely obtained with this revolver? How is it compared to the Walker? I know historically it wasn't produced especially in brass, but I like the idea. Anyone own one? Dixie Gun Works has or had them on sale for $120 +- two days ago, not certain of the manufacturer, it was a kit.

I entered "Walker Velocity" into the advanced searchbox above (blackpowder forum) and came up with Post #5 by mec plus more results:

...Mine gives good accuracy across a fairly large range of charges 50 grains will give you all the noise and smoke you need to know you are shooting a Walker.
I don't seem to have chronographed it but, I have used 50 grains of pyrodex P quite a bit. I get good ignition with Pyrodex in this revolver. No hang-fires and good accuracy....
