Monarch's are excellent scopes "bright and clear".

I meet a friend that was looking at scopes at Gander mountain, I thought the Zeiss Conquest were better, he thought the Monarch's were better....It's in that class, if you can find a good bargain, you should get the Monarchs.....

After making a side by side comparison between Zeiss Conquest and Monarch, I replaced my two Conquest scopes with Monarchs.

Nikon has good customer service as well. I bought a used Nikon on eBay and had trouble with the focusing. I sent it to Nikon for repair not knowing what to expect. A week later, I received a brand new Monarch as a replacement.
Now THAT'S good customer servoce.

I guess I am too cheap to do that...There is not that much differance in quality to replace the Conquests!
