Every so often, I see something that I really want or can get for a fair price. This question relates to S&W Performance Center guns; a couple of real (IMHO) cool ones, specifically the 952 and the as yet unreleased 625 2" .45 snubby really float my boat.
Are these guns (and other PC guns) considered collectables, or are they just expensive shooters? I'm really having a hard time justifying the cost of the 625, especially since the S&W 500 is a few hundred less where I shop and THAT's a hunk of steel - more mass for the money, so to speak.
The 952 I would shoot and not worry about collector value, since I've shot one and that's why I'd get it, but an $1,100 snubby...?
