I'm currently organizing a shoot through TheRallyPoint and DCC. Not many takers yet because TRP is still growing. It should be a lot of fun. All of the details are on the link:

Sounds like it might be a good time, I'll have to check my schedule when the date gets closer. I'll let you know for sure after Aug 1st but right now it looks possible.
Are you shooting out at Dozer Pit on the way towards Skull Valley?

I don't know if I can make it this weekend, but could you IM or email me this area you guys are gonna shoot at? (cordinates or something from google earth since you seem to have taken a screenshot from it) I am always looking for new places to shoot in AZ. What kind of distance is available?

Sounds like the shoot is going to be at Dozie Pit (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Dozie+Pit+Rd++AZ&ie=UTF8&ll=34.597748,-112.601109&spn=0.033136,0.058365&z=14&om=1)? I've got a birthday party to attend that morning but I may try to head out there a little later.
I'd love a chance to meet some other local High Roaders.

You guys are dead-on. Dozier Pits. I was considering doing it at the Cinder Pits up north of Paulden but that place is just so frickin remote and its only really good for short-range rifle or pistol work. Also considered a place I know-of out at the base of Mingus Mt. off of 89A.
I can post up locations of all these areas if you like.
Hrgrisso: I will post up final information here, on DCC, and TRP in the days leading-up to the shoot. I'll make sure everyone knows who and what to look for as long as a weather forecast.
-----------
Distances: Depends on the area we shoot at. The one I'm thinking of goes out to 100-150 yards. However, we can always hole-up at the area futher south on the trail which, IIRC, has distances out to maybe 300 yards??? I havent been there in quite some time. Anyone else know for sure?? The long-range place at Dozier would be the one with the concrete pad.

Links would be good. I checked that link for Dozie Pit Rd, but every Rd. is named and none say Dozie.

Yeah. It's odd. The road isn't listed on any online maps that I could find either. But it's there. Any avid shooter in Prescott can attest to it. 34.35'39N 112.36'08W - Or there abouts.
Wanted to jump on here an post this up real fast... These are the targets and the stands I will have available for use.. free of charge. I buy in bulk from Gunsite and I'm just looking ot get through what I have to buy more. haha

I'll have roughly 40 or so targets for us to use. Plus a truckload of brown tape to cover shot placement. Feel free to bring your own but these are what I will be running drills on for those that are interested.

Dozie Pit Rd is right around mile marker 8 on the south side of Iron Springs Rd on the way from Prescott to Skull Valley.

Here is where the pin the fell for the coordinates. I assume its one of those whites spots though.
Thanks for the info.

Yep. I believe thats where I pulled the coordinates from. The resolution sucks so its touch to tell. There is some kind of a quarry there so one of the spots is actually a no-go but everything else is golden. I'll head out there with my GPS either today or tomorrow to get us exact coordinates.

Well if thats the right road it won't be too hard to find the place with lots of broken glass all over the ground. ;)

To add to what Outlaw posted......

When you come down off the mountain and the road starts to stretch out and level off in front of you is where you want to start watching for the turn. Its marked by a small sign and a big tree (Cottonwood I think) and its the first road on your left.
Once youre on it you need to follow it all the way to the end, takes a little while but not too bad. There are a few spots you need to be careful of if you have a low vehicle but most cars can make it. You'll pass a working quarry on your right just after you enter the road and from there on the road gets a bit rougher. There are lots of small places to shoot on either side of the road but the best area is all the way at the end.
Hope this helps!

If I weren't going hunting then, I'd be all over that. Keep posting here if you choose to do another one when the fall comes around!

Well, me and SixBravo had a pretty good time, though I didn't get to stick around as long as I would have liked. Where the heck were the rest of you guys?
