Special thanks to J.K. for funding this test in full.

Cartridge : Federal 240gr Hydra-Shok JHP

Firearm : Bond Arms .44 Magnum Derringer with 3.0" barrel length

Block calibration : All depths corrected (From 8.6cm @ 555 ft/sec)

Shot fired from 7' distance, impacted at 1066 ft/sec. Penetrated to 14.1" and was recovered at 0.685" average diameter and 230.1gr weight.

Not bad at all. But I was using a shooting glove. My hand didn't hurt (much) but my wrist did. One hell of a gun to shoot!

I have a Bond in .44 mag as well. It is a real thumper. I shoot 240 grain JSP through mine and it'll get whatever needs done - done.

I can't imagine a more powerful pocket gun. Accurate enough out to 10-15 yards. I would assume that most would agree that one round out of this gun into COM would perform much better than one round out of ANY of the usually lauded pocket guns.
