Hi folks,
Does anyone know if the Colt lightning rifles made after 1900 were
proofed for smokeless powder, or were they all black powder.
Thanks
JD

I can probably find out, but I won't have access to that book 'till Sat. I do know that the handguns started using smokeless-proofed steel in 1901, with the remainder of the previous parts used up by about 1904.
