Hi, all,
What do you think of SKB O/Us? The fellow who runs the range where I shoot thought they were a good value.
Thanx,

Good guns, by and large. In a class with the Winchester 101 and the Weatherbys.

When I got serious about buying a skeet gun, I was stationed in Germany. Sket was one of the few things to do on the weekends, so I shot a lot. Of all the different guns, the SKBs fit me the best. Knowing that SKB made Weatherby's SGs didn't hurt, so I got one. Love it.

The importer-- Guns Unlimited- is right here in this town-------I just can't stomach paying $1200 to $1300---for the cheap one in their store---when they are getting them for like $300 or $400.
Resale value around here??---dream on-----they are only paying $300 for a new one.
There are better made shotguns for the same money----and its too bad a Weatherby is just a sorry SKB POS.

Well, that's a different view than the mainstream holds. That's a heck of a mark-up too. In 1988 we were getting them for $600 wholesale through a European distributor. Hard to believe that wholesale prices havee dropped that much.

While bird hunting a few years ago, through a combination of circumstances I ended up with a borrowed SKB 20 gauge o/u. I liked it more than I thought I would. Handled well, triggers were not great but acceptable and it worked in my hands. For the price it seems like a good bargain. The Kersten cross bolt locking system is very solid and I've never seen one that was worn out.

Weatherby Orion: Best O/U for the money and heads above the Ruger!
