Doubtful, Jackson only wants the "politically correct" hunting rifles to be legal, he's made it clear in other speeches. It's those "tacticool" black rifles and handguns he wants banned.

Sure wish they'd open one close to me!

It's being built in Hammond, Indiana on Indianapolis Blvd off I-94.

He'd be best to stay out of Indiana with his antics.

The Cabela's down the road from me sells a very nice selection of EBRs and handguns, not to mentions tons of gun related items: ammo, holsters, optics, etc.

I hope Jesse Protests. It would be nice to give hunters a little wakeup call that antigunners, socialists and other bottomfeeders really are their enemies.

Sadly, the core motivating elements of antigunners, socialists and etc tend to be evil, rather than stupid, and so counting on them to tip their hands isn't the way to bet.

Gladly, it happens often enough without rooting for it.

Isn't he in jail from his last protest?

There is also one being built in Hoffman Estates, IL. You can see it from the 90 tollway when you are just east of 59, just look north. The exterior looks complete, they must be pretty close to getting it opened. I just hope that it doesn't kill G.A.T Guns. It is very close to the Sears Centre Arena (a medium sized indoor stadium for concerts and smaller events).

Not much of a Cabela's fan. I've been to the ones in Kearney, NE and LaVista, NE. Both times I was treated rudely by salespeople and overpaid for ammo. High prices, lousy service... that's the Cabela's way! I suppose if you like looking at dead animals it's a cool place to shop.

There was a lot of controversy about the one in Hammond. Apparently a LOT of taxpayer funding went into the project to get them there.

Same here.
Cabela's asked for money from the county and township its located in to the tune of a couple million$$ in grants to build an attraction similar to museum (aquarium and taxidermy displays) along with TIF incentives. The tiny (but very wealthy I might add) township that the store is located in recently tried to reneg on the deal after the store was built. Its kind of funny in a way that the township at the same time is trying hard to incorporate so that the land that the store sits on doesn't get gobbled up by annexation by my village or the one to the south. :D

Must be drawing a lot of visitors with lots of $$ I imagine;)

I don't like taxpayer money funding private projects, but I cannot fault Cabela's at all for wanting something in return for the crowd that they draw and for the money that they bring into a community.

Your Village = East Dundee?
South "Village" = Elgin?

Cabelas is coming to CT. Surprisingly it was supported from day one even though CT tends to be anti-gun...who woulda thought?

Sadly, the Hoffman Estates store will be in Crook County so I don't think they'll be able to sell EBRs.

Cabela's rocks! They give "Cabela's Club" members $30 in free merchandise about 3 to 4 times a year if you have one of their Visa cards. Basically pick out $30+ in merchandise, go to the register using their Visa card, and $30 comes off the bill then and there. For $100+ in basically free gun merchandise a year, I definitely shop with them :)

I also really can't complain about Cabela's prices for gun equipment and supplies. They are a little higher than online retailers, but lower than Bass Pro Shops and Sportsmen's Warehouse. Cabela's wide gun equipment selection definitely beats both of these stores hands down.
