My gunsmith kit came from under the Christmas tree!

Yee-haa! I am now a gunsmith! Santa brought me a Dremel tool, woohoo!

Just kidding. I've been gunsmithing for several years. I've seen several guns boogered up by overzealous use of Dremel tools. I've seen gunsmiths cry when asked to fix the oopses. My new Dremel will learn respect for firearms before it's even allowed close to one. :D

It's been my experience that trying to teach a dremel respect for anything is like trying to train a cat. But there are a lot of uses in smithing for a dremel tool. You'll get quite a bit of use from it I'm sure. I use one quite a bit where tolerances don't really matter. I don't trust mine to have the respect for firearms that it claims to. George

Got a dremel for X-mas too! It came early so I've had a chance to work with it, polishing only.
Polished the flutes on a bead blasted SP101.

In a previous life I never used a Dremel. Had me a Foredom flexshaft with foot control...can we say POWER?

Me, I used mini and micro files, emery,gravers, chamois with fabulustre, rouges...
Foredom was used, but still a LOT was done slow and by hand.

Oh if can practice with like material, before the real deal.
