[Slow]

I have a 24 hr hold on this gun at a local gun store. It is LNIB with all papers, warranty card, Master lock (unopened) spent case etc. The previous owner traded it for an automatic and probably shot less than 20 rounds through it. The store is asking $459.00... Is this a good/fair price? This is a .45 Colt Mountain gun built in 2002 (based on spent case in envelope) with what looks like a rosewood finger groove grip. It feels great and I can get it 6 months same as cash.... It's tempting... Should I buy it?? Opinions as to quality, accuracy, durability and overall value are needed immediately!!! Thanks

If it was one on my short list I would jump on it, the price is a little high but ???? Try it you might like it.

I've only seen the 45 acp versions, so take this w/ a grain of salt. The price is ok, but if the gun is in good shape & it's something you've been wanting, go for it ;)

Not an out of line price. I paid $400 for this one last summer.

It was slightly used, no box, and the facory wood grips had been already swapped out.

you guys suck... if i could even find one here in PRK i'd be buying all day at 459$ i'd probly go 600$ for that gun... but then our prices are whacked due to a government imposed supply/demand imbalance...


quality ? well it is a S&W but it was also recent manufacture... mostly hits, occasional misses

i wouldnt shoot any COR-BON .45 "magnums" thru it but its just as tough as any other N frame

Can't tell from that photo the exact vintage of your Mountain Gun. I know the first ones to come on the market had the Hogue Monogrip finger groove rubber stocks. Yours MAY be the proper factory type. I changed mine out to make for a more compact package, but the factory stocks were really pretty comfortable.
