Unidentified Cleaning Kits

I was given these by a thrift store who couldnt sell them. These look like a definate military issue of some sort (possibly foreign).

Pics vary in size and are fairly high res (1024x768 & 1200x900 px.), so I'm keeping them to links only (to help out slower comp's/bandwidth).

All the kits are shown here, 2 are opened up. The one the left looks almost new while the one on the right is very used and dirty:

The dirty kit, has markings on the inside "GAG 1969":

Close up of the clean kit, I illustrate some parts that confuse me. "?" #2 is larger than a .45, It wouldnt squeeze in my .45 at all. Looks like you slip a patch in that to clean the bore:

The lids of the solvent containers... in foreign language?

I would greatly appreciate if you guys can find out what i have and what its used on. Like pic#2, I have another kit with markings that says "GYGAX 1966".

The W+F on lids stamp is the key, IMO; it means "Waffenfabrik Bern", the Swiss state-owned arms maker (now defunct)

the solvent containers are inscribed in german and french and the swiss is bilingual french/ german. (Automatenfett = automat grease) This brings the SIG 510/ Stgw. 57 in game, because, it is the last assault rifle before the SIG 550. Now compare the kits in this picture with your ones!

Do they match?

yep. the one in that picture matches 3 that i have... the other 2 are more of a brown color almost no difference in package tho

I have couple that were swedish that have the brass ends.number one is patch jag.number 2 is muzzle guide?whose these are I dont know.but they dont seem to be german or russian.

I bought one of those at a gunshow 4-5yrs ago. Been looking but haven't found another since! If you dont want one , or more, of them please PM me!

They are Swiss, the rod parts all have brass ferrols on them to protect the bore. Caliber is 30. #2 is a broken case wxtractor, the other is a jag that you wrap the patch around. If you open the tubes they contain a thick black grease, and there is a brush attached to the top to apply it with.
