Hello all,

I have been on this site for a while mostly reading, and gun trading, and I really haven't needed to ask any questions, as I have found pretty muc everythin by searching this site...
With that said does anyone have a link or a picture of a Taurus model 85 CHB they would offer up to view?

I have a guy that has offerred one to me in a trade, but before I drive down there i wanted a pic, he doesn't have a camera, and I can't find this model listed anywhere.

he states it has the concealed hammer, 2" (I think) barrel .38 Spl.

Any thoughts on the taurus revolvers? I bought my wife a S&W 38spc.airweight, with custom grips, that I wish I would have never shown her. It's sweet, and I was about to get another when this idea/deal came up.

Any,.....Any, input you guys can offer would be much appreciater.

Thanks,
Al

The recent Taurus revolvers aren't bad. They're not tanks like the Rugers, nor are they as smooth and well-fitted as S&W, but they are good, functional firearms.

Quality was hit-and-miss until about four or five years ago, and they seem to have been solid since. We have two that we use as rental guns at the range, and they've not only survived the abuse, they've gotten pretty smooth over time.

I'm not familiar with the CHB model, though. Any idea as to the age of the gun?

The DA trigger on my 85 is a lot better.

The 85/605 fits my hand better than a J-frame.
