Revolvers for leftys

So do gun manufacturers make some of their models for leftys where the cylinder opens up on the right side?
Or is this only possible from a gunsmith?

I have more problems finding bottom feeders suitable for Southpaws than I have ever had finding a revolver I couldn't work left handed.
My problem with autos is the fingers of my support hand tend to trigger the magazine release on anything except a heel clip, and I cannot seem to find a two-handed grip that avoids the problem.
With my SP101, I activate the cylinder release with the thumb of my right (support) hand and then push the cylinder out with the right thumb as my right hand cups the gun around the trigger guard and frame by my right hand.
By way of illustration, if I make a fist with my right hand at this point, the gun isn't going anywhere because the bottom of the frame is in the middle of my fist and the thumb is through the window of the frame.
I can use any/all of my fingers to hit the ejector while my left hand (primary) handles the reload. After reloading, I pass the gun back to my left hand and use the left index finger to close the cylinder.
I'll never be Jerry Miculek, but this works very fast and smooth for me. give it a try for yourself.

I would never buy a true lefty revolver unless I was absolutely, 100% sure I would never buy another wheelie. Once you get to really get comfy with a lefty gun, then try to shoot a standard (read: all the countless other revolvers out there) one, you'll have to relearn the gun. Not good for self defense, that's for sure!

I'm so used to working with things made for right handed people that i'm used to it, and if you want to sell later maybe harder to.:uhoh:

When when shooting lefty, I prefer to hold the sixgun in my right hand and load with my left. When shooting rightie, I still prefer to hold the sixgun in my right hand, and load with the left. I can do it the other way, or do the whole process with one hand. Charter Arms does make a "lefty" revolver, but I would not have one. OK, to step up on my soapbox for a moment, when it comes to defensive weapons, it behooves us to be able to shoot or load with either hand! Look into the shootouts in which guys are hit in their gun hand or support hand! Two of my co-workers, guys I see regularly at work, have been hit in their arms or hands! OK, off soapbox now. Y'all be safe out there.

Everything in this world is set up for righties. Lefties just get used to it and learn to do everything either with the right hand or a little differently.
