Howdy, folks. I'm browsing the internet looking at .410 ammo. Has anyone here used Silver/Golden Bear .410 bore shells? Maybe it's because I'm still kind of new to the shotgunning community, but is there a difference between metal and plastic shells performance-wise? Does Bear carry the same "evil commie" stigma that it does in rifle/pistol world? Educate this philistene.

I have used some steel cased Russian .410 ammo in my T/C G2 Contender pistol and the cases tend to bulge a little. Not enough to interfere with extraction though. I just use the slug ammo for plinking and to make loud noises at the range. It's cheap.

I suspect the plastic shells would store better long term in a harsh environment than steel but that's not a problem for me.
