Anyone here have any experience with the Remington Genesis? I am considering one for my first muzzleloader. The gun will be used with iron sights for deer hunting out to 50ish yards.

hey guys thanks for all the help, i took my smoke pole to the range yesterday and shot the 300gr xtps with 100gr of pyrodex pelllets and used the harvester crush rib sabots. well at the range i got groups of about 5-6 inches with this set up, that was with swabbing every shot .then i switched to a traditions sabot and wow my groups went down to about 2-3 inches.i dont know if its just coincidence but i shot 3 more groups with all the same results.when i first shot the first couple of rounds they were all over the paper and after about 8-10 shots the gun started to perform.is this what they call "seasoned barrel"? anyways thanks for all the help and i'll post my results when i get an animal with it.

Can you also shoot round balls from these gun's? I too would like to have a Genesis one day and this would be my first BP gun also. Any THRers have any exp with one of these guns?

I’ve been looking at these too. From what I’ve read the twist is not the best for round balls but they can be used in these rifles.
